Ms. Arese Ugwu

Ms. Arese Ugwu is a capital markets executive, author and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of financial markets, entrepreneurship, media and financial participation.

She is the author of The Smart Money Woman and The Smart Money Tribe. The Smart Money Woman subsequently became a television series, taking an idea about money, behaviour and financial participation from the page to screens across Africa and beyond.

Arese sits on the boards of Partnership Securities (a subsidiary of the group) and House of Tara International as a non-executive director and is an associate member of WIMBIZ (Women in Management Business & Public Service).

Arese holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management from Aston Business School, Birmingham, and a Master’s degree in Economic Development from the University College of London (UCL). She is also an alumna of the Lagos Business School, INSEAD Abu Dhabi, and The London School of Business executive education programs.

Ms. Ugwu was appointed as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NASD Plc, effective September 7, 2026, subject to final confirmation by the Securities & Exchange Commission.
